The congregation invited all families to participate in a cross generational service focused around the story of Jonah and the Whale on Nov 13, 2016. The rear area of the sanctuary was transformed into a child care area for little ones who were not quite ready to participate in the lesson for the day, refreshments were brought in (Yes! People drank coffee while in church!), and the altar was transformed into a giant whale! Pastor Doug led the service and brought the children of the congregation up to learn about how Jonah decided to disregard God's wishes and what ultimately happened to him. This was a great service and Wesley is committed to bringing families closer together while continuing to spread the word of God.
